Short description

What happens when a U.S. businessman gets in the way of an ambitious government official? He becomes the expendable man. Nick Grocchi is on the verge of completing a business deal in Turkmenistan when he is arrested in the middle of the night. Grocchi is innocent, but wait until you find out who set him up and what he has to go through to clear his name and gain his freedom.

Extended description

Nick Grocchi, a businessman who had been sentenced to prison in Turkmenistan for a crime he did not commit, wakes up in a hospital in Albany New York where he’s about to become one of two people being treated for an acute case of skin cancer using an ultra-modern genetic protocol.

But surviving skin cancer is not Grocchi’s only problem. If the treatment cures him, not only does he face being sent back to Turkmenistan to finish his prison sentence, but a powerful political figure has taken steps to assure that Nick does not uncover the truth about who framed him and why.

The Expendable Man is a fast-paced political thriller that will keep readers up past their bedtimes.

Nicely written ... an easy read. I found the story line a little bit far fetched in bits but still enjoyed it.
