About K.L. Hemley

K.L. Hemley has had a passion for writing ever since she was a young girl. It began with reading the classics by brilliant writers such as Jules Verne, Jane Austen, Mark Twain, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. She wrote her first book at age 13 and by age 19 she had finished her first novel.

She became interested in the western romance genre after first visiting the west coast during her twenties. Quickly, she learned as much as she could about the history of the western pioneer days.

K.L. Hemley lived in Tennessee until the late 1980′s and then moved to northern Arizona where she now resides with her husband and two golden retrievers. She is retired from teaching and spends her free time writing and gardening.
