Heller's Regret

Rated 5.00/5 based on 6 reviews
There’s not much ordinary about Tilly Chalmers’ life as a security officer. Her latest assignments – two jobs involving children; protection of a valuable jewellery collection; and security at an unusual conference – provide plenty of adventures for her. But it’s her private life, including her complex relationship with her beautiful boss, Heller, causing her greatest personal challenges yet. More

About JD Nixon

I live in beautiful Queensland in Australia. I started writing in 2009 because I wanted to do something creative and haven't stopped since! I have two series of books:

The Heller series (first book Heller - free!) features the frequently outlandish adventures of security officer, Tilly Chalmers, and her complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious and intense boss, Heller. There will be seven books in total in this series.

The Little Town series (first book Blood Ties - free!) features police officer, Tess Fuller, and her struggle to survive a long-standing vendetta with the feral Bycraft family and at the same time manage the tense relationship between her new partner, Finn Maguire, and her boyfriend, Jake Bycraft. There will be five books in total in this series.

My author dream is to one day write a short story (which for me will probably be about 50,000 words!) where Tilly & Heller meet Tess & Finn. What a story that would be! Maybe over the end-of-year break???

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them! I'd love to hear your feedback, so why not email me at: jdn.author@gmail.com

Heller's Regret...WOW! The whole Heller Series is exceptional. JD Nixon will make you laugh, cry, get angry, get excited with her characters. I get so mad at Heller, but then I fall in love with him through Tilly. I laugh at Tilly because trouble always seems to find her no matter the circumstances. I had to go back and read the whole series again, just to be sure that I read the last of Heller's Regret right. Now I am waiting with my breath held that the next Heller's book will finally answer all of the unanswered questions.

I' ve just finished reading Heller's Regret and I'm going to read it again. Wow! So much mind gripping and yet emotionally strong way of story telling. Only JDN can do that and kudos for that. The ending of this book is different as it seems that more needs to be said, yet nothing said also is more meaningful. Though some strings of last book "Heller's Decision" were still remained un-touched which makes solid ground for next Heller's..... book. Waiting starts for that.... Now.

From the first Tilly Chalmers assignment I knew this book would be different. It was the best read and I've already started re-reading. The ending was powerful and unexpected (something we don't often find these days). The emotions I felt were roller coaster. I laughed, I cried and I got angry along with Tilly. Unexpected things happened (I don't want to give anything away unless you've read the series). Congratulations JD Nixon! Another book worth bragging about. If I could give 10/10 stars I would! I, no doubt along with other readers, cannot wait for the next Heller book.

Absolutely loved this book. It captivated me from the first page. JD has spun another wonder story yet again. Though I didn't cry there were some sad moments that truly impacted Tilly. It is a roller coaster ride of a book well worth the read.
