NOTE: This is a short novella that originally appeared in The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2 and the anthology Vampires in Love. It has been expanded for its stand-alone digital release. In the Demonica timeline, it falls between book 4, Ecstasy Unveiled, and book 5, Sin Undone, though it can be read without having read the Demonica novels.

As a fan of Ione & Demonica, how can you not like this? Wish she would pickup & write more about them, tell more of their story.

an excellent short story to add to one of my favourite series. the title is a wonderful reflection of the way the characters are able to turn what would initially seem to them the worst scenario possible into a way of moving forward with their ideals intact and their love stronger. this whole series rates five stars with me!!

Eternity Embraced is a thrilling little ride into Larissa Ione’s Demonica world about a slayer turned vampire and a fellow slayer that still loves him regardless.
Full of witty dialogue, kick-ass and sexy main characters, a little bit of action, a little bit of suspense and some great romance. This is a fabulous, fun and fast paced read and a wonderful addition for fans of the series.

A short and sexy story guaranteed to delight!
Andrea and Kaden are both Aegis Guardians who have dedicated their lives to fight evil. When Kaden is captured by vampires while on the job Andrea's worst fear becomes reality when she finds he's been turned into one of the monsters they hunt and kill. How can she carry out her mission and stake the man who has stolen her heart?
I loved this short novella but then again I love anything that is written by this author! This is a really fast-paced story with two great characters, my only regret is not being able to read more about them. There is a glimpse of Tayla and E from the first book in the series, Pleasure Unbound, which just made the story better. Andrea and Kaden have sizzling chemistry that keeps you wishing they could get it on more than they did! I went through a bit of withdrawals when I finished this series but this was a great reminder of why I love Larissa Ione and the world she created in the Demonica series. A must read for fans!

This is a great compliment to the Demonica Series by Larissa Ione. It fills out the edges of the stories already written. However, it IS a teaser, not a stand-alone story. You get the full meal of her stories when you read the books, rather than this little novella. To find out more of Eidolon and Tayla, read Pleasure Unbound, where it all started.

Let me begin by saying that I consider myself a Larissa Ione fangirl. I have completely devoured the Demonica series in its entirety, and am anxiously awaiting her new Lords of Deliverance series, the first book of which (Eternal Rider) is due out in April.
That said, while I certainly enjoyed this read, I wasn’t entirely blown away by this short story.
What worked for me:
I love the entire Demonica world, with the prejudices of the Aegis, and its slayers, as well as Larissa Ione’s unique writing style. Even though there are really only a few actual settings in this story, you can feel that they’re all part of a much larger world.
I loved Kaden’s backstory with his previous lover, and why he’d been reluctant to move his relationship forward with Andrea.
I’m also a big fan of the “affair that turned to love” storyline in romances. Even though the vast majority of
Andrea and Kaden’s relationship occurred prior to the beginning of this story, there was enough rehashing that we got that sense that they’d both intended for their relationship to remain exclusively physical.
I loved how even with a minute word-count, both Andrea and Kaden felt quite well-developed, as did their relationship.
What didn’t work for me:
Despite claims to the contrary, I didn’t feel that this story would’ve worked well as a standalone.
Fans of the Demonica series will of course appreciate glimpses into not only other Aegis chapters, but also a cute, albeit short, interaction between Tayla and Eidolon. I did feel, however, that readers unfamiliar to the series would end up more confused towards the end than they would in reading a story that was not intended as an aside for an already established series.
As much as I adore Larissa Ione, I’m going to have to say that this one was only a 3.5/5 for me.
