A Wise Woman and a King by Svetlana Kovalkova-McKenna is a wonderful story about true love and destiny. The wise woman and her three daughters live in a cottage in the middle of a forest. While they each have a unique talent, they all share the gift of being able to communicate with nature. The land is ruled by a strict and rather mean king. When his three sons fall in love with the three daughters of the wise woman, the king is furious and does all he can to prevent them from being together. The wise woman, working along with the enchanted forest, sees to it that destiny and love win out over the king's ruling.

This story combines a magical forest with the magic of love. Young and old girls alike will enjoy escaping into this fantasy world that Svetlana has created.
