Lizzie Watson ran away from a broken heart into a new dress size. She runs right into Ben Cottingham and finds he isn’t just the boy who pined after her friend in high school. In fact he wasn’t a boy at all, but something entirely different. A different type of human that never ages, never gets ill, and needs the blood of another human to stay that way. More

About Jessie Olson

Jessie Olson grew up in a small Central Massachusetts town with lots of trees and a complete lack of restraint on her imagination. Adulthood has granted her opportunity to stretch that imagination further by working in museums displaying medieval history and the whimsical design of a Dabsville mainstay.

Writing has always been a part of that imagination. She writes a blog about all sorts of subjects – light and frothy as well as questioning the topics that polite conversation recommends avoiding. There are many novels in the works, but An Ever Fixed Mark is her first foray into the paranormal.

In addition to the written word, Jessie finds a pleasant occupation of time whilst performing in local theater, cooking up something for a dinner party, or watching a ridiculous number of hours of BBC television on Netflix.

Very enjoyable book if a bit confusing at time (I did not always realise straight away when it was real or a dream). Needs a few corrections but still a good read.

Great book! Could not put it down. An intricately woven story filled with lots of angst.

Lizzie is a woman we can identify with; all her faults and anxieties, hopes and dreams are bared in a story that will keep your attention all the way through the final word. Definitely worth the read!

An excellent read! The vampire aspect is not at all predictable, and is only the starting point of the story. I was completely pulled into the story, and identified with Lizzie, the main character, even though I am not a 34 year old woman. Strong themes and some unexpected twists.
