I am a writer of children stories and short stories. A father of a highly energetic son. In fact he keeps me writing. At his request I am writing a Young adult novel based on one of his ideas. This is a strange way to start a review, but I wish that I had read the Author's Note before I read the story. His use within the story of odd capitalization and strange punctuation would not have drawn my attention from a well-thought out story. I like that he's given "voice" to a family oral story. Like most stories made up to tell to kids, things happen--no explanation needed. I enjoyed the story (English teacher concerns aside). Young readers will enjoy the story.

Wonderful story for kids (and adults like me).
Will be reading the rest of these stories as soon as my wife stops giving me jobs to do during the holidays.
My son will love these when he gets a little older.

What another wonderful story in this series. I love these characters. The writing is getting more mature and I believe this to be because the authors' son is getting older. That's my guess anyway.
5 stars again.
