Great second episode to the series, but hated that it ended so soon. Definitely a series I am going to keep reading. Braving the Elements had Sasha coming to terms with her gifts and trying to learn how to control them (w/ lots of oops factored in). Stefan tries to stay away, but doesn't suceed (Yay). Charles' child-like (in a sweet way) attitude and jaded perspective made for great comic relief. I enjoyed this so much I went on to get all the 'Jessica Brodie Diaries' .

Entertaining to the Max with a lot more
Have you ever read a book where you want to read it so fast to know it all right now and yet you want to savoir it slowly? Well this is that book. High octane with lots of things blowing up. A romance to make your heart hurt. And all the good against bad you can handle. Love this book but can’t wait for the next in the series. And from what I understand it will be the latter half of April. Great job to the author.

Braving the Elements
By K. F. Breene

Sasha is back in the second part of Breene’s Darkness stories. This time she is learning to control her magic and deal with the super naturals around her. The only thing is Sasha learns better by hands on than having it explained. Her protector Charles is still interested in her but not so interested in going back to classes, but after all it is his job to protect her. The Boss is still showing interest and as Sasha learns more about her magic she learns more about this mysterious boss man Stephen that seems to hold her heart.
This is one case where I have to say the second book is as great if not better than the first and you have got to read to find out what happens to this magical human as she adapts to the new world she finds herself in. Stephen and Sasha have a lot in common and well you need to find out for yourself how this story all works out. All I can tell you is it is a magical read that will not let you down. Well-done K. F. Breene you have done it again a fantastic five star read that I had to read twice just because it was that good.

Wow, Braving the Elements was just as good as the first book Into the Darkness. I especially appreciated the way the author kept the characters personality types the same throughout both books. Even more, I liked how the author shows Sasha's struggles to come to grips with and use her new found abilities and how everything affects her as a human. The book has a nice flow to it, not too rushed or one dimensional. Even though this is not a stand alone book it does have a plot of its own and a soft conclusion. I am looking forward to seeing where K. F. Breene takes this series and can't wait for the next installment

Braving the Elements was a good book 2. I love the sass of Sasha. My favorite thing is how this book picks up perfectly where book 1 left us & continues the story line smoothly. My only complaint is that it seemed short. Just when it was getting really exciting, it was the end of the book. I read this much too quickly & while that leaves me excited to read it again (which I will), I just wish more was given towards the end. Overall though, I really did enjoy this book & can't wait for book 3.
