Mary E. Lowd is a science-fiction and furry writer in Eugene, Oregon. She's had more than forty short stories published by various magazines and anthologies, and her first novel, "Otters In Space," was picked up by a small press after a year and half of being self-published. The sequel, "Otters In Space 2: Jupiter, Deadly," came out in the summer of 2013. Her fiction has been nominated thirteen times for Ursa Major Awards and has won a Cóyotl Award. She's a member of SFWA, the Furry Writers' Guild, a judge for the Cat Writers' Association, and co-chair of her local critique group, the Wordos. She lives with her husband, two children, three dogs, four cats, and zero otters.
