This short story broke my heart. I can sympathize with just about every character. It made me reflect on the brevity of life and the choices we make in order to survive and find happiness. I can't decide if it's a happy or sad ending... But since I am a romantic I'll go with happy and say it's all about perspective! I had a wonderful time reading it and the touch of magic? Delightful!
