Short story of a book shop owner/reluctant detective searching for missing pets. It was very enjoyable so I would have liked it to be longer.

A fun read! The character of Delilah is well done and the plot is believable. Loved Delilah's great-grandmother!

Delilah Duffy moved to Tipee Island NC to reopen her deceased Aunt Clara’s bookstore; Beach Read & Top to Bottom (Hat & Shoe Boutique).
An elderly lady was my 1st customer. She bought 50 Shades of Grey. Then a conversation began, Mrs. Elam crying her cat Princess Mimi was missing. Mamma Rose, my great grandmother (90) told her I could help her find her cat. The nest customer Claude Worthy also had owned a cat named Coppertop, now missing. Next Alice Todd cat Boots missing. Henry Bellows the other bookstore partner would mind the store.
Delilah finally agreed or was bribed (4 banana breads) & she/Willie the dog began her investigation of the missing cats. A door to door search & talk with the occupants was made in the respectable neighborhoods. No luck.
Park Ranger Neil Greene told Delilah about the predator management the island had at 1 time. Delilah B/F Sam is a cop.
Will Delilah uncover the mystery of the missing cats?
Cool book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written delightful fun mysterious short story (book). It was very easy to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. Quite a few twists/turns. No grammar errors, repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of interesting scenarios & a great set of characters. This could make a great movie, animated cartoon or TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars for this short story (book).
Thank you for the free short story (book)

A Cat Caper featuring Delilah Duffy by Jessica Sherry is well written. Spelling, usage, grammar are faultless. It was a joy to read - even though I"m a dog person, not a cat person. This was a cute little episode that I believe is part of a Delilah Duffy series. I want to read more about this mistake-prone character.
