About Jill Martin

I am a retired music teacher with four books out there: a book of poems exclusive to Smashwords (see below), a music text book, the biography of a Czech man who arrived in England in 1938 to flee the Nazis, and one children's novel, 'Eric and Thickpea', about a street urchin in London and his pet rat. I also belong to Chapeltown Writers, a small group of amateur writers in Sheffield. We write all sorts of pieces in a variety of styles, and love every minute of it!

What a joy to read! Autumn is a grand season of the year. We call it 'the fall' where I live.
Well worth the read.

Of course Autumn means some different and added things to me but in this fine little poem you captured the sensuous images of one of my favorite seasons. Now in the midst of summer I look forward.
