About Marie Hall

Marie Hall has always held a dangerous fascination for creatures that go bump in the night. And mermaids. And of course fairies. Trolls. Unicorns. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Scottish brogues. Kilts. Beefy arms. Ummm... Bad boys! Especially the sexy ones.

Then the day came she realized apart from the sexy bad boy she married, there'd be no vampires/shapeshifters/mermaids/fairies/or even stinky trolls in her future unless she wrote about them. More often than not she can be found roaming the wild, lush tropical forest she calls her backyard (a.k.a. Hawaii) and day dreaming constantly about her latest project.

Her Mad Hatter is the first book of her Kingdom Series.

I read this book following the first book Crimson Night and this carried straight on from where the first left off. Basically it was like reading one giant size book and what a great read it was! I have rushed through chores and meal times to get back to my reading over the last day or so, it was so gripping and captivating.

Pandora's life is never dull. As if sharing souls with a Lust demon wasn't enough she now has Pestilence to deal with following her visit to Hell. The plot leads you where you never expected and the characters draw you in, they are so well-written and believable. The relationship between Pandora and Luc is heart-warming and heart-breakingly sad at the same time, if Asher wasn't on he scene you would be praying for Luc to get his act together and for them to be together. With Asher around how could you ever want for anything other than Pandora and he to be together?! The chemistry between Asher and Pandora is great, always hot and never 'mushy', just brilliantly written.

This author was new to me when I started this series but I will certainly be looking up more of her books while I wait for book 3 to come out in August. She writes intelligently, with humour and emotion. As with the first book this book had me in tears. I also enjoyed the humour between Pandora and Asher.

Having read the two books on a run there was a silly inconstistency that bugged me but I have to say that if this book wasn't so well-written on the whole that it, and a couple of typos/errors, wouldn't have even been noticeable.

A thoroughly, captivatingly brilliant read.
