This was my very first Alex book. I had gotten it for free and I only downloaded it because it was free. This is not my usual book as I am not into reading the supernatural. When I finally got around to reading it, I just wasn't sure what I was reading. This book starts off strong with Alex right in the middle of his sarcastic, smart-mouthed, deadly situations. But the more I read, the more in love with Alex I fell. He is an original PI, filled with dumb luck and quick wit. I could not get enough of this guy's witty banter, especially between him and Nick. I would sum it up by calling it a comic book with no pictures--plenty of action, nonstop.
