To say that Patricia Keen has lead a peculiar life would be an understatement. Born and raised in Avondale, AZ she lived there most of her childhood, except for a brief time between 1968-1970. Patricia lived in Kabul, Afghanistan with her mother and three siblings in 1969-1970, where at fifteen, she was hired as an editor for the Kabul Times.
The family returned to Avondale by her senior year but Patricia dropped out of Agua Fria high school at the start of senior year and moved to LA to be a hippy.
Eventually, she returned to her senses and earned her B.S from Saint Leo College in Hampton, VA and MBA from Chaminade University in Honolulu, HI.
Patricia joined the Air Force to become a journalist, but ended up becoming a jet engine mechanic and later trained as a system analyst. She worked as a system analyst for thirty-two years before retiring in 2005 to help out in her family's decorative glass business. She retired permanently in 2007 to continue the pursuit of a writing career, which had been side-tracked for more than three decades.
Patricia has written two screenplays: "Silent Thunder" and "The Resurrection of Camehl Roo", which is the basis for her novel, "The Gosling".
Patricia is also a new song-writer basing her songs on the years of poetry she has written.
She lives in Portsmouth, VA with her husband, Michael and English Springer Spaniel -Pal.
