When I downloaded the ePub version for my Sony PRS-650, I was disappointed to find it contained a few minor formatting problems (font size inconsistencies). Putting that little niggle aside, I certainly found it a helpful introduction to the world of wood automata. However, I felt the price was a bit steep (for 31 pages), as this is the first time I have actually paid for an e-book - all the others that I have downloaded have been free. Nevertheless, it contains some interesting links and references to useful p-books (one of which I have now bought), so I suppose it was worth the price I paid. I do think though, there's little difference in quality between free e-books and ones like this that cost money, so things such as the links to the videos are an important inclusion (so long as the videos remain online). This e-book is quite well written, with clear instructions, and contains helpful drawings. I came away feeling motivated to have a go myself, so Ken Schweim has achieved his aim of encouraging others to take up this fascinating hobby.
