I've been a writer for most of my life. I started writing fiction when I was in grade school--with illustrations done in crayon! As an adult, I became a technical writer and wrote instruction manuals, procedures, and user guides for several different companies. But fiction has always been my first love, especially science-fiction and fantasy. I love to spend time with my computer on my lap and my cat, Baby, beside me as I explore the "what if."

Another fun read by Claudette Gilbert – Once an Angel drops reader right into the thick of things when our heroine, Ella, is captured by the very foe that she’d planned to vanquish. It doesn’t help that she’s chained up with a man who just so happens to be a fallen Angel sans any powers to help. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that he’s extremely handsome.
I really enjoyed Ella’s no-nonsense attitude and her amusing analysis of her new angelic companion. However, I did wish we had a little more character back story for Ella and would love to have seen her in action against another monster before she faced the Harpy’s and paired up with the angel. Still, this was a fun read and I look forward to reading more about Ella’s adventures.
