When Katherine Gardiner’s husband leaves her for a younger woman she disdainfully refuses his generous settlement offer and instead accepts an antebellum home in Maryland. Her plan is to sell the house and use the proceeds to begin life on her own. To her dismay she finds the ghostly old house is in need of total renovation. Painted into a corner by her own pride, she must find the courage and the resourcefulness to turn this money pit into profit if she is ever going to succeed in renovating her own life.
