About Kriss Perras Running Waters

She is the publisher and editor of Malibu Arts Journal and previous publisher and editor of PCH Press (Malibu's daily newspaper). She currently owns the independent story development and film production company Running Waters Productions. Her writing and directing credits include the 300 Nights Project, a collection of projects including a short, a feature film and a novel released October 31, 2010. The 300 Nights Short Film Subject stars Henry Mortensen (Lord of the Rings, Crimson Tide) and Michael S. Garvey (Men in Black II, JAG, ER, Roswell). Kriss Perras Running Waters' further writing and directing credits include the upcoming feature films Fard Ayn, and Tiananmen Square, among other in-development feature films at Running Waters Productions.

She began her career in film as a Casting Assistant on the feature film Easy (2003), directed by Jane Weinstock and nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. She later worked as Continuity Supervisor for the films A Through M (2006), a film at the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute (AFI), Lime Salted Love, a 2006 independent film starring and produced by Kristanna Loken and Matthew 26:17 (2005), a film directed by Shannon W. Rawls. She later directed a short comedy titled Dunk Tank Priest and moved on to direct and produce the music video Come Inside, starring rock musician David Reeves, from the original punk band Radiochild and Paul Roessler, from the famous punk band The Screamers. The music video was shot in iconic Topanga, California. She previously worked for a well-known development firm in Hollywood where she learned the craft of story development, a trade she enjoys and finds highly gratifying.

She is a 2002 member of the prestigious American National Honor Society Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and is United Nations Certified in International Humanitarian Law and the Law of Armed Conflict. She was educated at American Military University where she majored in International Relations and minored in Intelligence Studies.

300 Nights, a science fiction novel to be released May 1, 2011 in mass market paperback, marks her first novel in a saga of three books: 300 Nights, Exile and Holo.
