This is a well researched and fast-paced action book I am enjoying reading. The main characters are fun, and even with the explosions and attacks it would never become too scary for younger readers. It's a longer book than I had imagined and so would be great for reading chapter by chapter to kids at bedtime. Interestingly it's an educational book of sorts with Norwegian place and food references all through the book. I really like how Rob has dropped these in as they add interest and give a real sense that you are exploring and trying these things for the first time, just like Sam. I also love the mechanical bad guys underwater device, Sam's flying chair and the super fast jet plane!!
