This was a very enjoyable read, it is a sort of cross between erotic fiction and crime fiction. I found the two leading characters, Harry and Karen the most interesting. They were portrayed very well, I have met people like this and recognise both types. Both Harry and Karen had a high degree of insight into the motives of others.
Many difficult areas such as rape, sexual frustration and guilt were covered and what was refreshing was the fact it was not written in a politically correct way and showed men frankly behaving in an outrageous fashion. Having said that the author showed an understanding of the female perspective and the dismissive attitude of the male establishment with regard to the crime of rape.
It was I feel a cracking tale with an unexpected ending and showed the men and to a lesser extent women at their worse, having said that I still had some affection for both Harry and Karen, maybe that says more about me than the book.
I think the author is a gifted writer with a high degree of a imagination, and would recommend the book to anyone who wanted something a little different than the usual erotic fiction.
