Castles Made of Sand

Rated 3.00/5 based on 1 reviews
This is a short piece of philosophic/speculative fiction exploring ideas of the mind and artificial intelligence. There is a lot that could be expanded on in this piece, and the characters could be fleshed out. But I haven't decided where I want to go with it yet. In the mean time here it is for people who like thought provoking concepts. If you read it all, please comment and rate! More

About E.S. Dallaire

I believe in the reality of ideas in themselves. Imagination is my most coveted possession. I think the theories we develop to describe Nature are really couched attempts to understand the limits of our own consciousness. As such I think looking within ourselves and meditating on the silence we find there is the best way to understand the reality around us. I think we as an artistic and inquisitive species thrive when we all share our creative explorations and communicate with each other with empathy and a willingness to learn something new. I think it is openness that leads us to love, of ourselves and each other. And I think everyone has a part of Truth to share, but communication is tricky, so it's good to be encouraging of others so that we can be brought to see in a new and equally worthwhile light. I think the value of artists is that they've taken it upon themselves to master mediums of communication. That's what I wish to do, but I'm still an apprentice.

I'm using the Smashwords site to build and host my portfolio, all of which will be made free.

The authors description of the work is accurate, not super engaging as is, but I do feel like I would like to try another work by the same author.
