She hates her job in Richmond. She doesn't like her coworkers and tries her best to function beneath the cut-throat radar in her office. Her father, a cut-throat individual, couldn't be more disappointed in his daughter's lack of ambition. Rachel Hammond flees the company she worked at, the life she knew and the family patriarch's verbal abuse to start a new life. She moves to Cove Creek, a quaint town in Southwestern Virginia where everyone knows everyone.

The only problem is they aren't telling her what they know. She discovers the local customs quickly lose their novelty and no one will tell her what secrets the town is hiding.
