J L Rehman has created a slightly sympathetic psychopath, the comical snobbery of a small town "art world", and a cast of characters as vivid as Walmart shoppers in Death Impressions. The mix of the absurd and the macabre reminds me of early Carl Hiassen; the action never stops and I find myself laughing at things that surely should make me cringe. The writing is good; the dialogue is impressive. I highly recommend Death Impressions.
