Weight has been an issue since I went through puberty. Most of the girls grew flattering chests and were allowed to shave, I gained tonage. It was not fun.
I played the yo yo dieting game for decades. Whichever fad came along, I tried it. I was usually successful in removing my tonage. It is in the area of maintenance that I struggle. Pitifully I might add.
As a Christian I would ask God to just make me "melt". He didn't.
Then I came across Janet's book, Divine Dining. A daily devotional to remind me to "give the ful weight of me" to God every day!
What a refreshing concept! It is not only helping me stay on track, when I get off track I am now in a healthy place physically, spiritually and mentally to be able to just carry on not sink into a gallon of ice cream!
This devotional has been a godsend and a very wise investment in the future of my health. My weight is at a healthy place and thanks to the insight I get daily from my devotions, I feel more confident than ever it will remain so.
