About Michael Rogers

With high morals, imagination and a delicious craze for fantasy, The Rostical Users was born.

Written like it's a script from a video game and an ongoing manga, we hope to see our adventures on the big screen one day.

Michael Rogers, an author that absolutely hates reading (even his own series) and has never read a full adult sized book in his life, is a prime example that you can do anything once you've set yourself a goal or dream.

Sceldrant's Comet, about several people working in retail getting transported to a world of Rostical (magic/mana). It follows them trying to find a way home while exploring the new world.

The magic system is by far the best I've read in ANY series, Neurons (power) and Astragons (space).

It has suspense, mystery, comedy and at times anger, is Lance intentionally this irritating or...? Teresa is my favorite, I've always like emotionless characters, can't wait to find her backstory.
Each character is very different from one another, very interesting.

I've purchased the entire series, can't wait to finish reading them!

I had the time to read this while the kids were in day care.
After reading the first instalment of The Rostical Guild, I found this book to be inferior, but it was still enjoyable.

I've always enjoyed the fantasy stories where people from Earth find themselves in another world (even more so when there's magic/technology involved). It kind of reminded me of Spellbinders (if anyone can remember that series).

Half way in the story, we find out what Rostical is and how exactly it works. I found the mechanics behind it very well described and it was like I was watching a movie.

What I didn't like;
First, why Lance is one of the main characters, that confuses me. He's a character you grow to hate.
Awkward sentences, how Lance would ignore when people are trying to tell him something vital...
Okay, I realized, I just don't like Lance hehe.

What I did like;
Since I was already used to the format, I've really grown to like it. It's fun and I can read it quite quickly.
The way the story is delivered (nearly everything in dialogue), I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to write such a feat (respect to all screenwriters).
The suspense and genuine interest of wanting to know more.

I've already started the next book in the series. I'm positive it can only get better.

I rate this 3.5 stars, but dropped it down to 3 because I really don't like Lance. I hope he either gets character development or the Author focuses on the other characters.

Unusual writing style but a riveting read. Don't like Lance, is rather immature.
The mechanics behind Rostical is well written and planned out.
Will be buying the other books in the series for sure.

Seeing how this is the first book that actually made me cry I say you should get it and all the other series as well seeing how you won't be able to stop wishing it would never end

I haven't read for my own enjoyment in over a decade! I love how the author constantly drops clues and hints then answers one but drops even more questions- clever. I love the diversity of all the characters and that I can relate to bits and pieces of them. I'm so keen for the manga to be completed esp for ch 9 & 10!
