About Caitlin Hicks

Born the 6th child in a family of fourteen children, I was distinguished by my fair skin, small upper torso and the nickname Skinny-Milink-the-Graveyard-Dancer. As a child my dog Lucky gave me needed one-on-one attention; after graduation from Loyola Marymount University in LA I jumped the nest and met my true love in San Francisco (a Canadian, how exotic!) and now live in Canada.

I am a published writer of short stories, non-fiction, radio, theatre and film. One of my plays was adapted to a feature film called "Singing the Bones" (www.fatsalmon.ca) which has screened around the world every year since its premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2001.

Currently I work promoting Gordon Halloran's awesome work in public art: (www.gordonhalloran.com), as well as writing and performing my own one-person theatrical events.

This was a delightful short story that captivated my attention right from the first words on the page. Caitlin knows how to tell a story - can't wait to read more of her work!
