About Anita L. Batz

I was born in Long Beach, California, and I lived in several cities near the coast in Southern California until my early teens. I had just started my freshman year in high school when my parents decided to move to Reno, Nevada. I was married the first time a few months after my 17th birthday. The marriage lasted just under ten years, but it brought three beautiful daughters.

I married my second husband, Charles, who was stationed at Stead Air Force Base in Reno. After he was discharged, we and my three girls moved to Pennsylvania where my husband was born and raised. Two years later we had a son, and moved back to Reno. After raising four kids and then retiring from county jobs in Reno in 2003 we moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It's hotter than Hades here in the summer, but it sure beats the two seasons in Reno; August and winter! We truly enjoy the small town atmosphere of Havasu. Now that we are child-free and job-free we take advantage of those freedoms to do "stuff" at our leisure...like traveling in our RV and pursuing our individual hobbies. This year we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary, and would you believe--? We still like each other. A lot!
