Short description

After 200 yrs life holds very little surprises or pleasures. That is until Ephraim, a Pyte, has his life turned upside down by the relentless Madison. Once she discovers things aren't quite what they should be with her sexy neighbor she becomes determined to get her answers. It's too bad that Ephraim has other plans of his own.

Extended description

When the mother that abandoned them years ago suddenly shows up and moves them to New Hampshire, Madison has no choice but to go or lose her family. Shoving her dreams aside yet again, she tries to make a life for her siblings only to discover that nothing is going the way that it should. It's really cold. Her fifteen year old sister acts like a hooker in training. Men act funny around her. Her boss is a real jerk. She feels like an outsider. Her best friend turns out to be a mouthy sixteen year old kid and the incredibly handsome guy renting the room adjoining hers not only hogs the bathroom, taking three showers a day and leaving her with cold water, but he also has a secret. A secret that she becomes a bit obsessed with and can't let go no matter how many times she's warned off.

Detective Ephraim Williams learned long ago not to show any emotion or allow himself to get attached to humans. What was the point? They came and went and he remained. This time wouldn't be any different.. (Read more)

I adore Mathewson's books. They are quick and sometimes funny and always sexy. Did I say I adore them?

I loved this book. It was interesting and fun and i loved the famiy dynamics involved and the action was great. I love when books take you through so many different problems and getting things done by kicking a little butt. This book is worth the read and I will be checking out the others

Tall, Dark and Lonely by R.L Mathewson is the best paranormal romance I have read. I read on average 8 book per week and I have not found another Author whom is up to R.L Mathewson standards, with her plot-lines hummor and characters. You just can not help yourself from falling in love with them all.

If you are a huge fan of paranormal or not you will still love it, but if you not try her other books. They are all romance. Trust me you will love them all. I do and so do many others........can't wait for many, many, many more works of art from R.L Mathewson.

P.S this book is only the first in the series Without Regret is the second, then Tall, Dark and Heartless and the fourth one will be out next year.

Loved this book. Well written with great character depth. I read the three books currently in the series and this one was hands down the best. I couldn't put it down. Definitely a page turner.

I really enjoyed this book. I think the characters are well developed, and have great dimension and depth. I've read the second and third books also, and thoroughly enjoyed them as well. I'm looking forward to a fourth, hopefully.
