About Susan Landis-Steward

I've done many things in my life: journalist, computer systems designer, child welfare worker, writer and indexer. But at almost 60, I found publishing. Finally something that makes me smile all day.

Oh, one other thing: I died. Yep. Right on the operating table. Caught a jump start from a passing surgeon, did not see Jesus, did not go toward the light. An ancient nurse yelled at me for several hours, to make sure I kept breathing. Scared me so much I gave in and lived.

I live in Beavercreek, OR, right on the creek, with my partner of over 20 years, Jenny. We have three grown daughters and four grandchildren, a dog, and flotilla of cats.

When I'm not playing with words, I spin yarn, make quilts, knit, and am basically crafty. I make great Chinese food. Sometimes I preach at the local UU church.

Like Gandhi, I believe there would be peace on earth if everyone would just spin her own yarn.
