These stories WILL make you laugh out loud. And that's coming from someone who doesn't usually laugh easy. More than once (for better or for worse) I burst out laughing on the crowded subway at one of the ridiculous situations Cyra found himself in. You don't need to be an EMT, nurse, doctor or anything to get everything out of this book. His narration style makes you feel like you are right there in the story, feeling like this could have happened to you. I was trying to describe the stories to my friend who is starting nursing school, and I realized I couldn't do them justice and I just had to get the book for her.
I read these stories on my morning and evening commutes and actually found myself wishing the commute would take longer so I could read another story. This book is hard to put down and a great way to put you in a good mood fast. I only wish it had been longer. I hear Volume 2 is coming out soon. Will be reading it as soon as I can get my hands on it.
(By the way, if you're not convinced and want more opinions, I suggest reading the reviews on Amazon. Seems just about everyone who read it enjoyed it as much as I did.)

I got this for my husband, who is a volunteer firefighter and was an EMT for several years. He thought it was great! It brought back a lot of memories for him of things that he was involved in that were't funny at the time, but sure are now hearing him tell about them. Some of the language used might not be appropriate for those who are not adults. Overall, very enjoyable.
