I loved the characters in this book...The author did a fabulous job showing us the personalities and deep emotions of the characters. Very well written and an enjoyable read. I felt the characters were real...i loved them at times and didn't like them at others. So very much like real life people. I couldn't wait to read more.

This first book really draws you into the rest of the series. Even though you may not like, or agree with, the main characters all the time, and even though you might want to slap them often, you become invested in them because they are such real characters.

These people could be your friends, people you grew up with. You love them and accept their flaws as part of them. Lori L. Otto's writing style is very emotive; you feel what the characters are feeling and go through their joys and sorrows with them.

This book just left me wanting more, and I bought the second and third books before I had finished reading the first. A worthwhile addition to any bibliophiles collection.

I really wanted to like this book far more than I did. The truth is that it's well-written and brings you into the characters' lives pretty well. That's why I gave it four stars.

But honestly? I found that I couldn't like the characters very much. Protagonist and first-person narrator Nate is a well-to-do, trust fund baby playboy-cum-artist who is so completely spineless that when his brand-new girlfriend tells him he's no longer to speak with his best friend, Emi? He acquiesces. No real friend would do such a thing.

And, of course, it's apparent to everyone but dimwit Nate that he's actually in love with Emi. By the end of the book, Emi finally gets it, too -- after being in a couple of very abusive relationships.

Lori Otto leaves a cliffhanger ending on this tale, as it leads into two more books. Her writing is really outstanding, but I found her two leads so unlikeable that I don't really didn't care what happened to them. :-(

I really liked this book but am afraid to say much more for fear of spoiling it for those who have yet to read it. All I'll say is that once I started it, I cancelled plans with 3 different people so that I could keep reading it & I bought the second book about 3 minutes after finishing the first (I needed that time to process the first book!). I am currently on the emotional rollercoaster that is the second book & I am totally hooked!

I really enjoyed this book! The author does a great job of drawing you in to the characters and their story- I found myself relating to each of them! Once I started reading I could not put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone, and cannot wait to start the next book in the series!

Lost and Found takes readers on a journey of two people who are in search of love and companionship... something all of us long for. The author does an amazing job of crafting the characters throughout the novel, so much that you start to feel like you actually are friends with Emi and Nate. I love novels that are not predictable and have genuine voice and tone. The novel evoked true emotion and I didn't want to put the book down!! (I read the novel in one day!) I am eagerly awaiting the next book!
