Short description

It's the 1840's on the Lake Superior frontier, when a mysterious stranger arrives in the town of Sault Sainte Marie. Outside the Blood and Guts Saloon, he learns of a plot that will leave a trail of murder and mayhem. But who is he? Why has he come? And will he ever be able to drink his whiskey in peace?

Extended description

Sault Sainte Marie is a town on the Lake Superior frontier poised for a boom. Minerals are discovered and the only way to ship them is through town. Arriving on a schooner is a mysterious stranger who is drawn into a plot that includes murder, robbery and treason.

They shouldn't have tried to mess with Gabriel that day, Corporal Ferguson and his friends from the fort. They got his attention. They should have let him drink in peace. Now they've got trouble from, what Andrew Jackson called "The Meanest Man He Ever Knew."

From the moment the Bigg Man entered Jake Small's saloon, things began to happen. First it's a fight, then a man is killed at the Blood and Guts Saloon, the stranger is arrested before coffee, and everytime he gets a glass of whiskey there's an interruption.

That's leaves only one solution, a bad attitude, guns, and Gabriel Biggs.

a fun, action-packed western adventure, not set in the old west, but in the tiny international hub of Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The history of the town and the nation are exquisitely detailed in this short work of fiction.

America has a big history. Here we are introduced a time when Michigan was the land west. A land rich and ripe for plucking and full of characters as rich as any western tale. You are introduced to a great character that could easily leap to the big or small screen.
