When I first started reading Monsters Unmasked, I was expecting it to be just another zombie melodrama. Yes, I enjoy zombies and the like but this story was different, not at all what I expected. From the first page I was hooked on Whitman's tale about Ellen, her betrayal by someone she knew and a view into pandemic life that never in my wildest nightmares would occur to me. Still the strong, determined heroine didn't give up, she stayed true to herself and through her story I was reminded of the best in human nature.

Monsters Unmasked is amazing! A very different zombie story--instead of showing simply blood, guts and humans screaming--It gave a very human side to a zombie pandemic. The events, effects and what life would be like afterwards. From the very first paragraph, I was hooked and I didn't put it down until the end.
Lori Whitwam gave EVERY character a life, voice and story of their own. If you are looking for a great zombie/human story--this is the book for you!!
