Veronica, a widower from an abusive marriage, is all set to have a wonderful visit with her daughter, Jeri. It had been a year since Jeri moved away to college and Veronica cannot think of anywhere else she would rather be, but to spend a quiet and peaceful Christmas with Jeri.
Jared had thought his day had gone bad enough when his proposal to hire his consultants were put on hold, but then he is stranded in a blizzard when he discovers his rental has a flat and the keys are locked in the trunk. Then, to make matters worse, Jared is arrested by airport security when he catches the men’s room on fire only to be saved by his assistant.
When Veronica sees Jared walk into the airport terminal and sit across from her, her emotions run amok somewhere between loathing and love. He was the man, whom she had loved and had walked out on her. Jared on the other hand cannot do enough to heal the wounds. He wants to start over.
