My thoughts:
The first thought when I finished this novella was, "I wish this wasn't over!"
The plot developed rapidly. The storyline was interesting and the characters captivating! I fell in love with Jace and Morgan right away. Morgan is tough, brave, and determined. Jace is a match for traits. They are both strong willed and a bit jaded - perfect for each other. Their relationship goes 0 to 60 in a couple seconds, but it had to to fit into the story. They bring great things to each other, their relationship and their people. With all the betrayal and conspiracy - trust and faith come hard to these characters - but they find both in each other.
The only downside to a story that I truly enjoyed was the length. I feel that if the story had been fleshed out a bit more - background or more time between Morgan walking into the bar and her falling into hell - it could have developed into more.
This was my first story by Cynthia Eden. Can't wait to read more from this author!

This is a stand-alone short story from Cynthia Eden who has some awesome Paranormal Romantic Suspenses out there.
It all started with a vampire princess walking into a werewolf bar.
The vampires and the werewolves have been enemies, but lately demons have been escaping hell and destroying vampires, humans and werewolves alike. The Alpha werewolf Jace demands a pureblood vampire be given to him...as a mate.
The vampire council feels that is acceptable if it ensures the werewolves' loyalty and protection against demons. Enter Morgan. She is kick-ass and feisty and I loved her character.
The sexual tension in this short story is off the charts, and the twists and betrayals that come about at the end made for a great short romantic suspense.
I asked Cynthia Eden and she said that she'd like to eventually write more and make this one a series, but no promises. I'd LOVE that!!!!! Please please make this a series? ::HighlandHussy gives puppy dog eyes::
Final verdict: This short is only 99 cents-go buy it now! It's just a great vampire/werewolf romance.

Morgan Labeaux is a vampire princess that has just made a deal with the local werewolf pack. Some say it is like making a deal with the devil. Morgan knows that both the vampires and werewolf needs this agreement to stand because a lot of trouble is heading their way.
Jace is the alpha of the local werewolf pack and he is about to get what he has been wanting for several years now, Morgan. Now he just has to find a way to stop the hell that is about to break loose and keep Morgan safe.
Morgan and Jace are going to have to find a way to stop the demons that are suddenly infesting Miami because if they don’t all the vampires and werewolves are going to be killed not to mention the humans that are completely unaware of the existence of the paranormal world. Somehow they are going to have to find the doorway that the demons are escaping from and close fast before it is too late. Now if they could just get their attraction for each other under control closing the door would be a lot easier to do.
This is another great story from this author. This is one that once the reader starts reading it they won’t want to put it done until the very last word is read. The action is fast paced which keeps the story moving along very quickly and the characters are sure to draw the reader into the story. This is a must read from an author that doesn’t let her readers down.

This is an epub only novella released by the amazing Cynthia Eden. If you’re familiar with her other books, like the Night Watch trilogy, or the Midnight trilogy, you know all about her established paranormal world of the Other. This is not an Other novella, this is something new.
Bound by Blood is about characters forced into a situation against their will and making lemonade from lemons. If you’re familiar with Cynthia Eden’s style, you know you’re getting a strong alpha hero and a heroine who has just as much of a backbone as the hero and is no damsel in distress. I love that about her books. The characters rescue each other, but never from what you expect.
The story in Bound by Blood centers around the vampire princess, Morgan LaBeaux, and the alpha werewolf Jace Vaughn. Unlike your typical idea of a vampire, Morgan was born one, she was not made by a bite or magic. She also isn’t crazy about the idea of being a vampire, or power hungry which makes you like her right off the bat. Jace Vaughn has wanted and watched Morgan for years. I can’t help but think his fixation with her before the story is just a tad bit creepy. However, he wins you over.
This is an action packed, sizzling romance that feels like it’s longer than 26,000 words. For $.99 it’s a steal people. Last I checked it’s available for Nooks via the B&N store, Kindles via Amazon, and the rest of us via Smashwords. I have a Sony reader and it read just fine.

This was a very quick read, but it was VERY good!
The door to hell is open and demons are coming to our world. Their primary targets are vampires and werewolves. The only way to defeat the demons is by an alliance. An alliance of enemies, the werewolves and the vampires alliance becomes solid if the vampires allow a pure blood vampire princess to mate (blood bond) with the alpha of the pack. Now this gets quite interesting very quickly….oh yeah and extremely HOT!
Jace is the ultimate bad boy, and alpha of the pack. For years he has guarded Morgan, why you ask? Because he fell for her the moment he laid eyes on her. Jace now has the leverage to make Morgan his and he gladly will use it.
Morgan was raised to despise and fear werewolves, but this man who is to be her mate contradicts all she thought. Not only is he honorable, loyal, and surprisingly protective of her, but he is also extremely sexy. Morgan had no intentions of making their mating sexual, now, she can not wait to be vertical, horizontal, upside down, right side up…you know what I am saying LOL!
As their love grows and the fight for their races begin this novella takes off. The sexual chemistry was phenomenal and the story line was great. Honestly though I wish Eden would have lengthened this out. There was so many areas that could have been covered. Also the characters were extremely interesting, I would have liked to have had much more of the couple.
BTW Eden is my new addiction!

Wow! Cynthia, you did it again. Bound by Blood is a good book to read. I felt my heart rate accelerating as I read chapter by chapter; I could not put it down. For a short story, this book had a little of everything, sex, rebellion, romance, betrayal, good guys, bad guys and ultimately war. I love reading a good paranormal book and in the end when the good guys battle with the bad guys and the good guys finally give the bad guys a good smack down; oh boy do I love happy ending!
I would have given it a 5 star but I'm only rating it 4 star only because I wanted more.

It’s an Immortal War…
Vampires and werewolves have been blood enemies for centuries, but now a new threat is rising…demons are escaping from hell and those demons are intent on wiping out both the vamps and the werewolves.
When you have no one to trust…
In order to stop the demons, pureblood vampire princess Morgan LaBeaux agrees to the treaty offered by werewolf alpha Jace Vaughn. She’ll mate with him, share her blood with him…and in return, the wolves will aid the vampires in this battle.
The enemy of my enemy is my husband…
Morgan is the vampire princess, a pure blood, and Jace is an alpha werewolf. This story is full of fast-paced action, the plot moves quickly and is done in such a great way, like Ms. Eden always does. I was pulled into Jace and Morgan romance as they faced betrayal and fought the demons. I just wished that this story had been longer. While everything was worked out and wrapped up neatly, I would have like to see a little more.
All in all i give it an A- only because I really wish it was longer.

At just around 26,000 words this is not a long read. But it is an excellent one. I loved it. It wasnt rushed and everything was explained. The story had a natural pace that just flowed.
Jace is the alpha werewolf that Morgan goes to in order to make a treaty that will help both sides fight off the demon invasion. What neither one knows though are the secrets they come into the deal with and how they are planning to solve the problem without the other being involved in more than blood sharing.
Needless to say nothing goes as planned and the two sides both have to come to some realizations and acceptance to rid them of their common enemy.
Even though the story was short, we find out plenty about Jace and Morgan to make them fully realized characters. We also get a pretty good sense of some of the secondary characters in the story. I only hope we get to meet up with them all again and find out more about their stories.
If you are looking for a great suspense filled werewolf/vampire tale. Pick this one up you wont regret it.

This novella is intense and raw. The story starts with a bang, and keeps running hot all the way through. I was constantly pressing the "next page" button and didn't want to stop reading. The alpha werewolf hero and the purebred vamp princess are steamingly hot and brave and kickass, and the villain is satisfyingly evil. There's more than enough plot for a full-sized book, but I never felt rushed or short-changed. If you like great characters, great writing and a great story, Bound by Blood is for you.

Shape-shifter Jace Vaughn and Vampire Princess Morgan LaBeaux must work together to stop the Demons that have been unleashed to destroy them all.
What happens when a vamp and a werewolf, who are suppose to be enemies come together for the good of all their kind? You get a very passionate explosion. Cynthia Eden brings these two paranormal creatures together with the wonders of love, the heartbreak of death and the anger of betrayal in Bound by Blood. From the moment Morgan walks into Howling Moon bar I was a goner. I couldn’t stop reading until I got to the end and then I wished for more.

Vamps and wolves don't mix, right? What if the blood of one made the other more powerful? Bound by Blood is an exciting tale of love, death and betrayal. Throw demons into the mix and you have a thrilling paranormal battle for domination. Who will survive? Cynthia Eden writes with passion and her worldmaking has a unique view of this genre. She never disappoints.
