Short description

“I could just make out the car lights through the windows on either side of the front door, there was only one way off the mountain. I wondered if anyone considered that a problem? Stuck in traffic, no alternative routes: what a way to live. What a way to die.”

Extended description

Claim Jump, CA was like most Gold Rush towns, founded on the principle of act
first and suffer the consequences later. But one hot September sooner becomes the new
later and unchecked development and over population collide when a firestorm
sweeps down the forest and into town threatening everything Allison loves.

Allison Little, Real Estate Diva, has no listings to speak of in Sonoma County, so she visits her grandmother in the Sierra Foothills. Nothing happens in Claim Jump. So she thought.

I enjoyed the book, but not as much as the first one. It's a good solid mystery in an interesting setting, with some love interest thrown in.
A little heavy on product placement at times, and the ending seemed too easy. But in general a good read.
