About Jason Tesar

As the third of four children and an introvert from the start, Jason Tesar grew up as an imaginative “middle child” who enjoyed the make-believe world as much as the real one, possibly more. From adolescence to adulthood, his imagination continued to feed itself on a diet of books, movies, and art, all the while growing and maturing—waiting for its opportunity. Then, during a procession of monotonous, physically laborious day-jobs, his imagination leaped into motion, bringing together characters and locations of a world that would someday come to life on the pages of a book.

In late 1998, Jason made his first attempt at writing, managing to complete a whole scene before returning once again to reality. A year and a half later, a spontaneous night-time conversation with his wife encouraged him to take his writing seriously and to keep on dreaming. Over the next seven years, Jason carved time out of the real world to live in an imaginary one of epic fantasy, science-fiction, and military/political conflict. The fruits of this labor would later become the first three books of the bestselling AWAKENED series.

Due to the overwhelming support of readers around the world, Jason has continued his trajectory into make-believe, recently jumping from stable employment in the micro-electronics industry into the mysterious abyss of full-time writing.

Living in Colorado with his beautiful wife and two children, Jason now spends the majority of his time fusing the best parts of his favorite genres into stories of internal struggle and triumph, friendship, betrayal, political alliances, and military conflict. His fast-paced stories span ancient and future worlds, weaving together threads of stirring drama and intense action that provoke reader comments such as, “I couldn’t put it down,” and “I’ll read anything he writes.”

Jason currently has four published novels—from two related series—as well as a combined edition. All are available in print and ebook formats at most major online retailers. And the list is growing…

- Awaken His Eyes: The Awakened Book One
- Paths of Destruction: The Awakened Book Two
- Hands to Make War: The Awakened Book Three
- Combined Edition: The Awakened Books One through Three
- Incarnation: Wandering Stars Volume One

Although I thoroughly enjoyed this series, I do have a problem with the events that Kael's father, Adair experienced after his arrival in what is supposed to be our present world. More than twenty years elapsed in the Orudan Empire; enough time for Kael to mature into the warrior that he became, and for Maeryn to have a daughter who grew up, married and became pregnant. Was Adair held in detention this entire time and interrogated for that long? It is a real stretch for me to believe that nothing else happened to him. For a first work, Jason Tesar has done a remarkable job, however it is my feeling that he could use a really good proofreader. I noted numerous mistakes throughout the series. One in particular is the use of the word "peak" for what should have been "pique". Apparently this was pointed out to him since it was corrected in book three.

The more Jason writes, the better he gets! Book 3 was even more exciting than the two previous books. More mysteries are revealed and the battles that ensue are action-packed as the dark vs. light, good vs. evil fight is on. The reader feels "vindicated" once the outcome of the final battle comes to light.

It appears that South America will be the next venue for this saga and I can't wait for Book 4 to be published.

To the point, to the blade, everybody gets what’s coming to them in book 3. There are twists and surprises to keep you guessing and still will leave most satisfied with the ending. Yet, the ending is just the beginning of round 2. I can’t wait to read what comes next. Keep writing Jason!

Really was looking forward to book three to wrap up all the loose ends. I couldn't stop reading until the very end. Was a very good read with great action and suspense all the way through. Of course, there are a couple of dangling threads that can lead to more adventures.
