It’s finally here…. The definitive book that takes the reader on an insiders journey behind the scenes of what was to become the ‘80s ‘hair band’ phenomenon. True, never before told stories of Motley Crue, Guns ‘n Roses, RATT, Poison, W.A.S.P, Quiet Riot and others. Oh yeah, let’s not forget the clubs, the drugs and of course, the girls!

Flaherty booked and befriended some of the top bands of the time including the perennial bad boys of rock, Motley Crue, a young and struggling Guns 'n Roses, W.A.S.P., Quiet Riot, Great White and others.

Go back in music history with someone who witnessed the rousing music and out-of-control debauchery of the metal and glam movement along the Sunset Strip.

I heavily involved in the hard rock/metal music scene in Southern California. First, as a fan in the mid-80's, and then as a journalist for several music magazines from 1988-1992. This is a great account of that era. For those (like me) who were there, this book will bring back some fond memories of a long-gone era. For those who wished they could have been there, read this book to get a feel for what you missed.

My only real criticism is that the author should have hired an editor to work on the book prior to publication. There are horrendous spelling and punctuation errors throughout the book. It doesn't take away from the fun, but it does makes it look more like a rough draft than finished product.
