About Andrew Osta And Friends

Andrew Osta is a multi talented prodigy, born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1982. He immigrated to Canada in 1994, and graduated from the University of Toronto with double degrees in Philosophy and Computer Science in 2005. The same year, he began to paint professionally.

Andrew developed a unique style of painting, where priority is given to color and composition, forms are abstracted, and symbolism is used extensively. Keith Widgor of SurrealismNow called Andrew Osta “A Surrealist Genius.”Andrew also received recognition from Shahla Rosa and other surrealist and visionary artists.

In 2009, Andrew Osta exhibited his paintings in Peru at the 5th International Amazonian Shamanism Conference, sharing the exhibition with such great artists as the late Pablo Amaringo and David Slokum.

Andrew stayed in Peru for 9 months, studying with Shaman Javier DaSilva. Then, he visited various healers in Mexico. During this time, Andrew wrote all of his experiences and published his first non-fiction book, Shamans and Healers, which received 5 star reviews from readers on Amazon.

Andrew also wrote over 30 songs while in Peru, completing his first music CD, Dimension Dream.

His art had been exhibited in Canada, USA, Mexico, South Korea, and Peru. At present, Andrew travels between Canada and Mexico.
