Well written, interesting account of an AT thru-hike. Book formatting leaves a bit to be desired.

Even if. like me, you have no intention of ever hiking more that a mile or two, I still highly recommend all three books. I would start with this one, Trail Ways, Path Wise, even though John Illig says that you do not have to.
