A witty rom-com set in Glasgow, Struggling would-be authoress Abbie Manson has a pair of lungs which react badly to stress and a lifestyle which causes it in spades. After a serious illness Abbie must suddenly cope with her life being turned upside down. Main squeeze-Stuart;boyfriend, sex-god and saint (well, usually), Arch Enemy-Muriel (the Borg Queen) Watson;scourge of the local bridge club, irritating, interfering old bag extraordinaire but unfortunately Stuart's mother, Friends -Mags; artist, latter-day hippy and poverty-stricken single mum, Hannah;rich, snooty and unfeasibly skelf-like neighbour, Husband of Friend- Giles de Vere Huntingdon the 3rd; born sickeningly loaded and titled but never at home, much to the chagrin of his wife. Waves obstacles aside with one swoosh of his Old School Tie, Foe, defnitely!- Emma; Stuart's boob-wielding, bottle-blonde twenty-something PA. One eye on Stuart's affections and the other on the main chance. Let's hope that she breaks all her nails!
