When I read Mark Coker I feel inspired and I go straight to work. Following his instructions and tips allowed me to go solo in the e-book business and I have to say this gives you more control and more freedom to produce your books and to distribute them. The fact is, he has in me a faithful fan, and I would like to say I really enjoy his simple and direct approach to the subject, and he does not mind sharing his knowledge which is something I prize above all.

I read this book partly as a Mark Coker fan and partly as an author thinking about platform building. The information is solid and the techniques viable. Company managers, owners and CEO's will find this a valuable read. There is also material here for smaller business owners.
One of the best points Coker makes is that in order to have good media relations and promotion, a company must be doing something newsworthy, but also worthwhile. Marketing can influence policies and make a company better and more responsible to the public.

For people thinking about ePublishing, this book is less relevant than Coker's other books, specifically devoted to publishing on Smashwords.

What I noted about this ebook on public relations marketing was that it was informative about just how much of a value and role public relations plays. The 10 minute PR checklist ebook provides a good all-round understanding in an easy step-by-step process that easily clarifies what to do in order to obtain maximum benefit from public relations communications.
It was also very informative about how important public relations is with regard to what you need to know about it in order to assist with a successful marketing campaign for ones business.
It is well written and plainly credible to see that the Mark is speaking directly as a result of past knowledge gained over the years from his experiences in the PR field of business.
Overall there is much that can be gained by anyone from reading this ebook in addition to referring to it also not only as a useful PR marketing guide for businesses but also in all areas of social communication where public relations plays an important part.

Reading The 10-Minute PR Checklist reminded me of two things: a) How much I don’t know about self-promotion, and b) How grateful I am for professionals who make this information available. Thanks, Mark.

Mark Coker Is as entrepreneur and a strategic ommunications consultant, who has had plenty of experience in his field. Mark illustrates through the use of proactive thinking case examples of good and bad public relations, with the intention of what to avoid and what we should use to market and promote ourselves.
He makes you think, so you start to ask yourself a few basic questions such as; What do I want? Where do I want to be in five years time? How do I get there? He recommends a self audit.

He talks about your message, strategies and micro-plans to reach your goal. He elaborates further by recommending that you audit your vision against an analyst model which measures the ability to execute a plan against the completeness of your vision. Sort of like a line drawn upon a mathematical graph.
Mark gives some very sound public relations advice which any author born with a modicum of common sense should avail himself of.

Just as an aside, Mark talks about winning the game, but for me personally I would say most authors are already winners when they have created something they can be proud of and other people like themselves enjoy it.

However If you want to play the game and be a winner in the public's eye then buy Marks book it is a very good brief introduction to the world of public relations. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about when it comes to public relations and marketing yourself.
