Short description

Caroline Harrington's life is cold & regimented. Her wealthy father wants his daughter to be his showpiece. Noah Rafferty is a dark-haired trouble-maker who lives on the 'other' side of town. He just wants to get out of the town that treats him like trash. When they meet, their connection is true and deep. It will get them through tragedy and heartbreak, and, finally, lead them home.

Extended description

Caroline Harrington and Noah Rafferty live on opposite sides of Tylerville, Virginia. Caroline is a pianist who speaks French and attends the best private schools. But, she's desperately lonely in her huge, silent, house. Her father tells her where to go and what to do and she does it. Noah Rafferty is the oldest son of the Harrington's maid. He is angry and resentful that Tylerville treats him as if he's his no-good daddy reincarnated. He is desperate to escape and start life somewhere different, where he can be his own man. But, there is something about prim, quiet, kind Caroline that pulls at him. He knows it's ridiculous that they're together, but he can't stop himself from loving her. Then, one night, their lives are exploded by a tragic event, and their relationship shatters. Ten years later, another event brings them back into each others' lives. And, this time? Noah isn't making the same mistake. This time, he's going to have Caroline for his own.
