This extraordinary true life tale is riveting, not only because of the events it relates but also because the author is a beautiful writer whose prose caries you along effortlessly.
I don't want to go into detail about it and spoil the effect for other readers. I'll just say that I was astounded, moved, aghast, delighted, and ultimately awed. When I finished it, I wanted to turn around and read it all over again — for sheer pleasure, despite the horrific aspects. It's so short that I could easily do that.
Above all, its a story of tremendously inspiring courage.
