A welcome and delightful addition to the Dame Frevisse saga, not only showing how things develop now that she is the Domina of the abbey, but providing a fascinating mystery as well. Full of Margaret Frazer's evocative depictions of the medieval world and her masterful handling of interesting characters and events. I loved it.
