Great follow up to book one in the series. This is not just another paranormal detective story. It's so much more. There is real depth in the characters, especially in the Detective Marcella character. Excellent story telling. I could not put it down.

This sequel to the Witch's Ladder is much better. The POV works now and the formatting is good.
The mystery and paranormal elements both work well.

Great Sequel to Witches Ladder. I love seeing how Detective Marcella’s views change throughout the book as events unfold and force him to reexamine what he thought he knew.

The Epub version of this book was poorly formatted with inconsistent font sizes. This is part of a series but so far I have read just this one though I intend to read the rest. An intriguing story with all the twists expected of detective fiction along with a paranormal dimension. Some of the narration and general dialog was awkwardly phrased and didn't flow naturally but the writer has a good eye for detail. I struggled a little with the opening chapters but was very glad I was able to stay the course. Overall most enjoyable.
