Bought the book and was very disappointed. Not really an unauthorized bio about Dana White-- more like a "look at me and how great I am" book about his mother, as written by his mother. This is attention whoring at its finest, IMO. This book is simply a joke and I would love a refund.

Supposed facts yield the same results as a Google search. All photos are 8-10 years old (or more) making it obvious that White's mother has not had true contact with her son for years. The most current pictures she includes still shows her son with hair (has been bald for 7-8 years) and his oldest child at the age of maybe 3 or 4 (he is now a teen).

Author comes across like a jaded individual who seems to believe her sons accomplishments are a direct result of her input and his lack of crediting her for a role in his success seems to have left her quite bitter. Her sense of entitlement is laughable.

A decent mother would never feel the need to try to embarrass an offspring in the manner Ms. White does. There are almost twice as many "I's" and "me's" in this rant than there are "Dana's" and it reads more like a bio of her life and not his.

My impression after reading it left me with the feeling Ms. White is a bitter and very petty person who seems to probably drink too much, or at least did as a barfly while raising him and his sister. Ms. White says she "shipped him off" to relatives multiple times in her book and it doesn't appear that she was around to raise him during the tough years because she was pursuing her own path in life. Funny thing is that, through her own words, it doesn't appear that Dana got in trouble while being cared for by others; mostly just when he was with her.

Anyone with knowledge of the UFC already knows Dana White can be a hard-nosed and crass person at times and reading about his toenails, what a scraggly baby he was, and how he used to sleep on her living-room floor on a stack of blankets is far from content worth paying for.

IMO, Dana White achieved fame and fortune and his mother thought she would get a free ride from that point forward. She whines about this fact in several chapters. If I had a mother like her, I would disown her. Ms. White wanted to try her hand at writing and she has failed miserably.

A few years ago a friend of my brothers and another gentleman started an MMA promotion- a direct competitor to the UFC. He shared that Dana White's mother approached him, claiming she wanted to "get back at him" for "cutting her off" by sitting front row at one of their televised events where she and about 10 members of her family would intentionally allow themselves to be broadcast in order to piss him off. He was shocked by her "plan" and thought she must have mental issues and refused to comp her tickets as well as requested that she not attend any the leagues events in the future. Looks like he was right about her state of mind.

For me, a charge-back on my credit card is in order because this book was a complete waste of my time and money. ZERO stars.
