Short description

Christian Jamieson is a life-long daydreamer. He tries to imagine the alien species he firmly believes are out there, in the galaxy. He watches the evening sky from a hilltop near his home, wishing he could travel to one of the stars that sparkle in the darknening sky. A new star appears and changes his life.

Extended description

Christian Jamieson sits in the long grass on Cannington Ridge, his favourite hilltop near his home. He watches the evening sky darken and sparkle with countless stars. His wish, as far back as he can remember, has been to travel to one of those stars to meet the people who he firmly believes live on the planets around them.

A new star appears and changes his life and that of all mankind. His wish becomes a reality that he could have never imagined.

If an advanced alien pressed a magic ball, filled with knowledge and a production plant, into your hand, what would you do? The protagonist of this novel feels strongly about global warming, overpopulation and the dangers of technology.

Instead of increasing production of food, he blackmails the
governments in the world to follow his agenda to clean the world of the evils of oil and coal.

Would you decide on your own - with input from your spouse - to change the human DNA of all living people on this world? Christian Jamieson decides to alter our DNA to reduce population and increase mental ability.

Who is to say what you would do with a magic Golf Ball? Christian coerces the world leaders and spends some quality time with his wife on some beaches on earth and inititiates first contact during his vacations from leading the world in the right direction.

My personal thoughts: Our hero could have used the power of the market to implement his new technologies. Who wouldn't bring his car into the garage to tank on water from now on? Using the power of the sun from orbital harvesting stations should switch most power companies over from coal, gas and oil, and in the process should make make him a fortune! Introduce facilities to upgrade your brain power and who wouldn't make use of it? With advanced knowledge green houses could be upgraded for growing food with minimal impact on the ecology and should solve most overpopulation problems.
