Extended description

Noble Britton suffered greatly at the hands of his first wife, and he refuses to fall into the same trap again. This time he intends to marry a quiet, biddable woman who will not draw attention to herself or cause scandal. Gillian Leigh’s honest manner and spontaneous laughter attract him immediately. It matters little that she is accident-prone; he can provide the structure necessary to guide her.

But unconventional to the tips of her half-American toes, his new bride turns the tables on him, wreaking havoc on his orderly life. Perpetually one step behind his beguiling spouse, Noble suffers a banged-up head, a black eye, and a broken nose before he realizes Gillian has healed his soul and proven that their union is no heedless tumble, but the swoon of true love.

While adore Katie's other books this is the first one that just dragged for me. I truly couldn't appreciate the heroine, I love the empowered smart if occasionally silly women they almost without fail strike a cord with me. But not this one I haven't in fact been able to bring myself to finish this book. Maybe I'll try again in a few weeks and have a different outlook. I can't say enough good things about all of the other story lines however.

This book was GREAT. From the first couple of pages during which the heroine is introduced I was hooked. I loved the interactions between the main characters and the progression of their relationship, which has it's good share of romantic intimacy, laughter and tears. Definately recommend this book, I also found out there a couple of other books written by this author about the heroine's cousin and another about the hero's best friend, definately going to the read them as well.
